Method: Annual heat loss reduction is estimated with HDD and R-values; fuel savings are adjusted by system efficiency and your fuel’s energy content. CO₂ is estimated using EPA stationary combustion factors for gas, oil & propane; for electricity, a coal-plant lbs/kWh factor is used by default and can be overridden above. Cooling savings are not included.
